Research Interests:
Dr Bronstein is an expert in regulatory toxicology and the use of toxicological information. Dr. Bronstein's work investigates the relationship of law and science, including large dams, ecotourism, expert witnessing, comparative and international policy, and environmental law.

Selected Professional Activities:
Professor Bronstein is admitted to the bar in both Michigan and Maryland. In the American Bar Association he has served as Chair of the Committee on Environmental Law, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Rules and Procedure, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Scientific Evidence (1999-2005) and a member of the Environmental Assessment Committee (2004-6). He is one of the seven founders of the International Association for Impact Assessment and edited its international journal, Impact Assessment and Project Appraisal, from 1993-1999. He is also an ex-officio member of the Council of Section K (Social, Economic and Political Sciences) of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Professor Bronstein is the author of six books, 12 monographs and over 40 journal articles and book chapters, and has given innumerable presentations at professional meetings. He has served as a consultant to local, state and federal government agencies, private corporations and international organizations.
