Research Interests:
Dr. Yang has research interests in three fields: chemical carcinogenesis, breast cancer biology, and cancer chemoprevention. He studies chemical carcinogensis and cancer biology, focusing on tyrosine kinase signal transduction leading to the development and progression of human cancer. He also is working to identify natural compounds for cancer prevention and therapeutic sensitization.

Selected Professional Activities:
Before being recruited to MSU in 2007, Dr. Yang completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Environmental Medicine at New York University and the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania. He served as a research associate and then research assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania before accepting the MSU position.
