EITS Track: Toxicology

Education: B.S., Biology w/ Cellular-Molecular emphasis, Boise State University

Research Interests:
The Goudreau/Lookingland lab is broadly aimed at researching catecholamine systems in the brain with particular emphasis on dopaminergic systems. I am currently working on two projects. One has a goal to discover the mechanism of MPTP resistance in the A13 with the hope that this information will be useful in the treatment of nigrostriatal degeneration, otherwise know as Parkinson's disease. The other project goal is to help us understand the effects of the drug tetrahydrocannabinoid (THC) on the A13 systems.
